Black Limba Heavy-Duty Carving Board
Built for serious kitchen work, our Black Limba Heavy-Duty Carving Board is what we call sous-chef size — approximately 12″ × 18″ × 1.5″. The integrated juice groove helps capture liquids from roasts, brisket, poultry, and other juicy prep, keeping your workspace cleaner.
Black limba (Terminalia superba) is a West African hardwood known for its warm golden base and dramatic dark streaking. No two trees grow under identical conditions, and it shows — each board displays its own one-of-a-kind grain pattern shaped by soil, climate, and the slow work of time.
In the shop, every board is carefully milled, squared, and edge-worked to create a solid, dependable work surface. The groove is precision-cut for clean lines and easy cleanup. Each piece is hand-sanded smooth and finished with our food-safe conditioning blend to highlight the natural figure while protecting the wood for everyday kitchen use. Our bakeware line includes oven squirrels, dual-surface proofing boards, and solid hardwood rolling pins in three practical sizes: dumpling roller, dough roller, and sheet roller. Based on feedback from experienced bakers, our pins are handle-free by design, giving better control, even pressure, and a more direct feel when working dough.
